This litany of stats translates into one blessed fact: Colorado is Rocky Mountain skiing at its finest. Want a high-profile alpine micro-metropolis with swank après ski attractions and haute cuisine along with serious piste and gentle intro runs? Prefer brewpubs and mom-and-pop resorts? Long for open bowls resting above the tree line under a bluebird ski? No problem. From the highest peak of Arapaho Basin and the groomers of Winter Park to Crested Butte’s snowboard scene and Aspen’s slopes and shops, the only thing Colorado can’t offer is a pair of fresh legs. But if you got ‘em you’ll use ‘em.
