Boundary Peak Wilderness

Located in the Inyo National Forest in California and Nevada.

The Boundary Peaks wilderness is located on the eastern slope of the White Mountains, the wilderness lies entirely within Nevada. Boundary Peaks is characterized by extremely steep slopes dissected by narrow canyons. Boundary Peak, within the wilderness, is the highest point in Nevada at 13,140 elevation. Vegetation within the wilderness is mostly pinon-juniper at lower elevations. Various riparian species area found in canyon bottoms. Scattered Bristlecone pines can be found at higher elevations. The Boundary Peaks wilderness is trailless, offering a high degree of solitude.
