San Jacinto Wilderness
Located in the San Bernardino
National Forest in California.
The 33,400 acre San Jacinto Wilderness area lies on either side of San Jacinto State Wilderness in rugged
mountain forest land. Elevations range from 6,000 to 10,000 feet. Vegetation ranges from desert to
alpine flora/fauna. Excellent rock climbing opportunities are found within the wilderness. Wood fires
allowed only at designated areas. Portable stoves are advised. Groups are limited to 15 people. Visitor
permits are required. Entry quotas are in effect for all travel zones and for overnight camping.
