Directions: Approximately 23 miles N on U.S. Highway 95 from Las Vegas. A directional sign on the E side of the highway indicates a 4-mile gravel road to the Corn Creek field station.

Primary Wildlife: Set aside primarily for desert bighorn sheep. Also provides habitat for mule deer, other desert mammals, and migratory birds.

Habitat: 1,588,459 acres of Mohave Desert. The range has five well-defined life zones in the elevation range between 2,500 feet and nearly 10,000 feet: 1) creosote bush-salt bush, 2) yucca-Joshua tree, 3) pinyon juniper woodland, 4) ponderosa pine-fir forest, and 5) bristlecone pine forest.

Recreation and Education: Wildlife observation, study, and photography. Hunting for desert bighorn sheep by special permit. Primitive overnight backpacking.

Special Note: The range is managed as a wilderness area with many roads closed to vehicular travel.
