Directions: From Yuba City, drive W on Highway 20 to George Washington Boulevard, turn S to Oswald Road., turn W onto Hughes Road which bisects the refuge.

Primary Wildlife: Waterfowl present September through April. Peak populations occur during February and March. -- Numerous birds and mammals present year round.

Habitat: 2,591 acres comprised of seasonal marsh, permanent ponds, watergrass, and uplands.

Recreation and Education: Wildlife observation and photography from Hughes Road. -- Waterfowl and pheasant hunting in designated areas.
