Primary Wildlife: The refuge and adjacent State of California Ecological Reserve were established to preserve the habitat of the endangered Santa Cruz long-toed salamander.

Habitat: 130 acres of coastal uplands. -- Adjacent Ecological Reserve contains a vernal pond.

Recreation and Education: Refuge is closed to public access.
