Directions: From Blythe, go approximately 4 miles W on I-10 to
Neighbors Boulevard exit, Go S on Neighbors Boulevard for 12 miles to Wayne
Sprawls Farmer's Bridge. After crossing bridge, continue S for 3.5 miles to
headquarters.
Primary Wildlife: Wintering Canada geese,. puddle ducks, greater
sandhill cranes, other migratory birds and nesting endangered Yuma clapper
rail.
Habitat: 16,600 acres of riparian habitat.
Recreation and Education: Auto tour loop, wildlife observation,
photography, canoeing, hunting, and fishing.
Special Note: Cibola NWR winters the largest concentration of Canada
geese and sandhill cranes on the lower Colorado River. Refuge also supports
nesting for the recently reestablished Harris hawk. When visiting the refuge,
bring plenty of gas, water, a hat, and sun protection.
