Alabama River Lakes
The project consists of three lakes with campgrounds, primitive sites, day-use areas, and swimming
beaches. There is something for everyone, historic sites, abundant fish and wildlife, and scenic bluffs.
R.E. "Bob" Woodruff Lake.
From Montgomery, US 80 30 miles to
Benton.
William "Bill" Dannelly Lake. From Camden, Hwy 28 W 9 miles to
dam.
Claiborne Lake
From Grove Hill, Hwy 84 E to 41 N to county road
17 to dam.
Black Warrior-Tombigbee River Lakes
The Black Warrior and Tombigbee Rivers have been important commercial waterways since the earliest
settlers moved inland and built homes along the riverbanks. Today. . . historic sites, picturesque terrain,
and abundant recreational opportunities welcome visitors year-round to the 47 recreation areas on the six
lakes that make up this 453-mile-long project.
Bankhead, Holt and Oliver Lakes. From Tuscaloosa, 10 miles E on
AL 216 to Peterson Asst. Resource Manager's Office.
Warrior, Demopolis and Coffeeville Lakes. From Demopolis, US 80
W 2 miles to Lock & Dam road to the Resource Manager's Office.
