The 38 sites of the park in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and
Washington provide an important perspective about American
history. The history of the Nez Perce people and their
relationship to North American history are preserved and
interpreted here. It is the view from a homeland looking out,
witnessing the march of history and change, yet continuing to
commemorate and celebrate Nez Perce culture and traditions.
