In general, cross-country ski trails, old logging roads, and paved back-country roads provide bikers with a wide variety of biking opportunities. Be sure to check with other area Forest Service offices for additional Mt. Hood National Forest biking opportunities.
All wilderness areas are closed to bike use. The 1964 wilderness act prohibits all motorized and mechanized use in wilderness. Violators will be subject to fines.
Pleas show other Forest users the courtesy and respect you would like them to show you. Slow down when approaching hiker and horses and warn them of your approach. Mountain biking is a relatively new Forest activity.
