THE BIG DROP
Many waterfalls can be found on or near the trail, including 100-foot Rainbow Falls and the nearly 600-foot-tall Nevada Falls.

HELL OF A VIEW
The 800-acre Devils Postpile National Monument just south of Yosemite has a unique and fascinating display of joined basalt columns.

BUT HOW BIG ARE THE TERMITES?
Sequoia National Park is home of the biggest tree, in volume, on the planet. The General Sherman tree is 275 feet tall and more than 100 feet in circumference. Many “smaller” trees can be found here, too.

HIGH-ELEVATION ADVENTURES
In addition to Mount Whitney, you’ll be hiking amid numerous peaks that exceed 13,000 feet, such as Junction Peak, Diamond Peak, North Palisade, Mount Huxley, and Mount Wynne.
