travelers, today announced it has signed an agreement with Yahoo! Inc.
(Nasdaq: YHOO), a leading communications, commerce, and media company,
to provide rich editorial content on Yahoo! Sports Outdoors (http://outdoorsports.yahoo.com).
An expansion of Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com),
the new outdoors area is designed to provide extensive outdoors content
and information for both the casual and hard-core outdoor enthusiast.
GORP will provide several weekly features on outdoor recreation activities
such as hiking, climbing, paddling, and other activities and longer
stories that focus on skill building or scenic drives. The first stories,
written by GORP experts, include a camping and hiking feature on choosing
a campsite; two cycling features covering prep for spring biking and
how to portage a bike; and a story on canoeing with children.
