Transmission fluid

Hitch up towable
Wiring connected


Safety chains set and secured
Lights on trailer working

Exterior


Inspect tires for wear and take pressure
Secure and lock all storage compartments
Retract awnings
Retract slide-outs


Turn off exterior lights
Check headlights, turn signals, brakes, and back-up lights
Retract entry step

Interior


Stow all gear
Latch drawers, cabinets, and doors securely
Seatbelts for all family members


Close windows and latch blinds
Close roof vents
Set refrigerator to 12-volt

Cockpit


Adjust side mirrors
Buckle up (everyone!)
Locate maps/directions, sunglasses, and coins for tolls


Position seat, vents, and steering wheel
Check gauges

A more comprehensive checklist will be needed when breaking camp—including turning off appliances and propane, dumping the tanks, etc.
