The nearly 46 km (29 miles) of Eastshore Drive skirt the edges of Lake Tahoe, providing visitors with breathtaking views of the Lake Tahoe Basin, while the visitors center offers accounts of the pioneer and Indian history of the Lake Tahoe Basin.
Pyramid Lake Scenic Byway
As the only byway in the nation entirely within a tribal reservation, this route takes the visitor 59 km (37 miles) around one of the largest desert lakes in the world and provides a unique opportunity to interact with the Paiute tribe.
